Lover of the Light
Hey! I'm Scott! I love taking photos. Photography has been and will always be a part of my life. Since a kid, I would play with disposable cameras, and taking candid photos of my family.
I left photography while I was growing up but my love for the craft returned around late high school because of the influence from my friends. By then I would shoot with any camera available at hand; p&s, phone, ipod, and now the hard-earned, sought-after, and very own dslr. Finally! haha
I really enjoy Street / Reportage / Documentary photography a lot! In contrast, I also like Portraiture. From there, my love of taking portraits stems to Fashion, Lifestyle, and Editorial styles. Apart from these, I enjoy the other genres, but nothing compares to the feeling when I'm shooting those mentioned above.
I am open to collaborations, conceptual, portfolio, advertising & commercial work. If you are interested in working with me drop me a message or email.

2011 Photography In Focus

photos by Scott Pacaldo
bgmusic: Rico Blanco//Metropolis

all photos taken with an iPodtouch4 except for photos in groceries, fireworks and mother in hospital(old sony point&shoot DSC-W55).

edited entirely on the ipodtouch.

Commuters Series # 4 | The same old woman from previous post. She was carrying 2-3 plastic bags full of grocery items. Just in front of her was an old man, also with grey hair. If only the jeepney were fully packed that time, it would be a perfect photo of both of them.

Death Cab For Cutie - The New Year

So this is the new year
And I don’t feel any different
The clanking of crystal
Explosions off in the distance
(In the distance)

So this is the new year
And I have no resolutions
For self-assigned penance
For problems with easy solutions

So everybody put your best suit or dress on
Let’s make believe that we are wealthy for just this once
Lighting firecrackers off on the front lawn
As thirty dialogues bleed into one

I wish the world was flat like the old days
Then I could travel just by folding a map
No more airplanes, or speedtrains, or freeways
There’d be no distance that can hold us back

There’d be no distance that could hold us back
There’d be no distance that could hold us back

So this is the new year
So this is the new year
So this is the new year
So this is the new year

Five hours left and we’ll be entering a new chapter. A new story to be unfold.
This year has been a difficult one for both of us; misunderstandings, yellings, curses, and emotional breakdowns.

You’ve been too far away from me and all I ever want to do is to hold you closer.

We’ll cuddle beside the clock, we’ll wait for it to strike at 12 and together anticipate the same fireworks we’ve been watching for the past years.
Together, we’ll paint our 2011 sky and kiss those hopeless 2010 memories goodbye.
