Lover of the Light
Hey! I'm Scott! I love taking photos. Photography has been and will always be a part of my life. Since a kid, I would play with disposable cameras, and taking candid photos of my family.
I left photography while I was growing up but my love for the craft returned around late high school because of the influence from my friends. By then I would shoot with any camera available at hand; p&s, phone, ipod, and now the hard-earned, sought-after, and very own dslr. Finally! haha
I really enjoy Street / Reportage / Documentary photography a lot! In contrast, I also like Portraiture. From there, my love of taking portraits stems to Fashion, Lifestyle, and Editorial styles. Apart from these, I enjoy the other genres, but nothing compares to the feeling when I'm shooting those mentioned above.
I am open to collaborations, conceptual, portfolio, advertising & commercial work. If you are interested in working with me drop me a message or email.

You learn what you do

If you worry a lot, then day after day you are learning how to worry even better. If you think about doing something a lot, then you are learning how to think about doing. Every moment you are happy, you are learning how to be even happier. Every time you act, you are learning how to take an action even better.

What is it that you’ve been learning today? What is it that you want to learn tomorrow?

This is the start!

The last 24-48 hours has been fun and exciting.

"Why?" you ask?

It’s because the list in this post is beginning to shed some light.

The first two on the list has been accomplished. All that is needed to do is to continue aiming the goal.

And oh, meet Xeon :)

Recalling my MOST wasted time in life.

Recalling 2nd-year college..
I was on the verge of shifting course. From BS Nursing to any Art-related course.
Now I am very disappointed that I did not. If that really happened I would probably have my own dSLR now as a compulsory requirement for photography class. I would be a 2nd year student by now, passing art projects, or anything a creative 2nd-year art student would happily do.

I’ve wasted so much of my time. 5 Years of precious time, 5, if you’ll count this year since I am “reviewing” for my “nursing licensure exam” which MOST probably will be useless to me because I won’t be working as a nurse.

"Why take the exam?", you ask.
To satisfy the people who forced me to have this course.

Pass or Fail, I don’t care.
Only after this year, that I will be choosing what I love to do most. PHOTOGRAPHY.

  • First, I will work my ass off as a call center agent, since it has high pay rate.
  • work, work, work to fund my first dSLR
  • work, work, work to fund additional equipments
  • while self-studying/honing my skills
  • work, and work and work while freelancing
  • work, and work and work until stable.

HOPING the first step will be a breeze.

You are right if you’ll say, “Sacrifice. Work as a nurse, go abroad, then do what you love to do.”

Here is my answer: I can’t afford to waste another set of years…

I HOPE I can get back to this post a couple of years from now and seeing that this plan worked.

I just want to:

  • finish this course and graduate on time
  • pass the nursing licensure exam
  • find a good paying job
  • save up that money
  • and move out of this house..
